Counseling & advocacy is our primary focus in residential & commercial construction contract & workmanship disputes; pedestrian (slip & fall) & worker injury, and home inspection disputes. Secondary is Alternative Dispute Resolution, either through mediation or arbitration; & finally court testimony if all other attempts fail.

State and Federal Codes referenced and researched include the Massachusetts State Building Code, the Massachusetts Construction Industry Rules and Regulations, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health Regulations, the Massachusetts Architectural Access Board Regulations, the BOCA (ICC) National and the International Building Code, the BOCA (ICC) National and International Residential Code, the CABO (ICC) Residential Code, the Rhode Island Accessibility for Individuals, the Federal Americans With Disabilities Regulations, and the Federal OSHA Codes.

Rhode Island testimony has included the Federal (OSHA) and Rhode Island State Building Codes, the Rhode Island Property Maintenance Code, & the Rhode Island Accessibility Regulations (ADAAG).


OTHER TESTIMONY

In March 1999 I testified at a subcommittee hearing of Massachusetts State Senators & Representatives in support of a bill to examine, license & insure home inspectors. I recommended a section of the bill. The bill was passed and is now law.
